M'Hoq Toq's speech is written this way.

Nerida and Claire's words are written like this.

You might go down a new path in medicine. Many years, as you would say, from now, this will be considered the only way of healing: looking at the whole individual and their circumstances.

And not just, ‘Oh, your nose is running. Your eyes are itchy. You take these kinds of pills, like everybody else with this problem and you will be fine.’ This can be a temporary solution. But only temporary. Sometimes, the problem is relieved for a very short period and then it comes back, stronger, with other problems added.

Because this person might be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

We know that sounds very general. But some people might not fit into the area, or into the kind of work they’re doing. It might make them sick. Or they might not be able to use the air around them to breathe properly because there might be something in it that disturbs their body.

If people are unhappy they are more open or vulnerable to these kinds of things.

Pause.

A body is one thing. It is all connected; everything is connected.

Medicine, as you know it, should stop looking at one single organ. It’s never the fault of one single organ.

As long as you haven’t put an arrow through something. That would damage that one single organ. This would be something different. That’s probably the only case.

Do you understand?

Claire: Yes, thank you.

You’re welcome.

Nerida: Claire is interested in healing through sound.

Yes. Why not? It has been used for centuries.

It got lost by some of the people who said, ‘Oh, he took these berries and he smoked this kind of leaves and then his problem went away. You should try this too because you have this same problem.’

N: [Laughing] And I’ll sell you some.

Yes. And because it is so good and I told you that secret, you’ll have to give me back more of the other things that I desire.

Pause.

Sounds of drumming—we’ve used this a lot.

Pipes. Flutes. These were used a lot.

And singing: not words, just the sound of the singing that we use. Could be words, but mostly it was not.

These vibrations can heal because they affect the whole body. It is quite a skill to use.

Every individual is different. You have to find the right waves and vibrations for that person. It is very powerful, which means it can go in both directions: it can heal the person. It can make it worse.

It’s not this kind of thing: ‘This is a happy sound. It’s gonna help everybody.’

The same approach is needed: every individual is different. That’s why they’re called individuals.

So, they each might need a different vibration, different sound waves or even a different pitch of the sound. You have to observe closely what’s happening to the person.

It does work. It has always worked.

But it doesn’t work anymore if someone decides that they have to generalise it, put rules around it. ‘This is how you use it and this is the only way.’

With whatever you do, as soon as you point and say ‘This is the only way,’ you’re on the wrong path there. Do you understand?

C: Yes.

Good.

N: Claire plays the harp. A European stringed instrument, Celtic, I think.

Yes. Very powerful. Very powerful.

It can help individuals to stay on the planet. And it can help individuals to leave the planet. That’s how powerful it is.

It has to be used with special care because it has such a wide range of vibrations and sound waves. The very deep ones and the very high ones can be dangerous.

Do you understand?

C: Yes.

You have to do a very good assessment of things.

How and what can this person tolerate? Where, exactly, is the pain located? If a person is standing in front of you, the lower sound goes to the lower part of the body.

The higher the sound waves get or the higher the pitch, the higher you go up the body. This is how you can influence the body. Do you understand?

It’s not like, ‘I’m playing a song to you and you’ll be fine’. It’s the sound waves that do it, and their effect on the place where pain or problems are located.

It starts with the deep sounds, from the bottom up, up to the higher sounds, going to the crown of the head.

The lowers sounds are said to have longer waves that you let run out until you can’t hear it anymore. Its effect is still going to continue, even if you can’t hear it anymore.

With the higher pitch, you use, like staccato—very short sounds—and you stop it. You don’t let it run through because it could do some damage to the brain. Do you understand?

C: Yes.

This is how we used these kinds of things.

We don’t like time. But in this case, for your better understanding: we used this a very, very long time ago.

N: I have a feeling you might be reaching back to Lemurian times.

Almost. Atlantean.

They have been far more advanced than the populations are now. It has all been there before.

N: Was Claire there, personally?

I would say so.

N: Mm. So, she’s recalling a skill she already had.

You could put it that way. [To Claire] You’ve done it before. Don’t be afraid. I just gave you a little reminder.

C: Thank you.

You’re welcome.
